Browse this venue’s gear ↗Austin basement built as a Heritage showcase: two Klipsch La Scala Heritage mains, four Heresy Heritage IV surrounds, two R-121 SW subs, McIntosh C22 and MC152 with a Luxman M-02, Technics SL-1210 M5G pair, Condesa Carmen V rotary, plus cassette (Nakamichi 700 II), 8-track (Pioneer H-R100) and a headphone bar (Douk T4 / SIVGA). La Scalas are fully horn-loaded and extremely efficient — they will fill a low basement with attack and midrange at a few watts, which is why the McIntosh/Luxman electronics can stay in the domestic-to-vintage range.
Surround Heresys and the tape machines are why the room feels like a collection you are invited into, not a two-channel demo.

About the sound system
How the system serves the room
Equipment Room combines La Scala mains, Heresy surrounds and separate Klipsch subwoofers, alongside several analogue formats. Technics decks and the Condesa Carmen V serve the booth, while separate Douk headphone amplifiers support a more individual listening mode.
This breadth makes routing and level management as important as any single premium component. The subwoofers can supply bass support independently of the mains, but their crossover and placement determine how well they join. The headphone stations also need to be distinguished from the main McIntosh and Luxman amplification.
